"I want them to be strengthened and joined together with love so that they may be rich in their understanding. This leads to their knowing fully God's secret, that is, Christ Himself" (Colossians 2:2). My needs are different than his needs.
His needs are different than my needs.
Just when I was feeling down and thinking he's not meeting my needs, he comes home for lunch yesterday and says, "I would like to take you out for dinner tonight." I slumped my shoulders and made a pouty face, looked at him and said, "But, I'm grumpy." He said, "So am I!" We had a great time out for dinner, just the two of us. We had fun shopping too (yes, I married a guy who likes to shop)!!
After 16 years, with some very bumpy roads along the way, he still melts my heart. I pray that I can meet his needs like he meets mine.
