One Thousand Gifts (continued)

"You make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at he works of  your hands." (Psalm 92:4)

5 years old!
She has blessed us in more ways than words can describe!
We are so thankful that God created our precious girl, and chose her to be our daughter.  She brings us so much joy and laughter every day!

Our Son

"This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.  Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.  No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us." (1 John 4:10-12).

I love how his left eye brow goes up when he smiles extra wide.
I love his round cheeks.
I love his beautiful, big brown eyes.
I love the little faint scar about his right eye brow.
I love how he sticks out his chest in pride when he gets his picture taken.
I love the slight dimple in his chin.
I love his huge smile, from ear to ear.
I can't stop staring at his picture and I love it that we get update pictures of him.
I will love it even more when we can officially call him our son and when we can meet him and bring him home!  Please, Lord, make that happen soon!
I just love him so much already!

One Thousand Gifts (continued)

"When the angels had left them and gone into heave, the shepherds said to one another, 'Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the LORD has told us about.'" (Luke 2:15)
The shepherds ran to celebrate the Messiah's birth!  They didn't want to miss it!  They were so excited about celebrating Jesus' birth that they quickly spread the great news and "praised God for all the things they had heard and seen which were just as they had been told" (Luke 2:20).

In the month of December, we celebrated 4 birthdays, including baby Jesus'.  It was a busy month, to say the least.  I confess that I don't celebrate Jesus' birth like the shepherds did.  More than often, the other birthday celebrations and the busyness of the season overshadow the great news of Jesus' birth.  I pray that God will help me be more like the shepherds and excitedly spread the great news of Messiah's coming and praise God.

I am so thankful for the birthdays that we celebrate in December, especially the birth (even if I don't show it) of Jesus Christ, my personal Saviour!

Continuing to give thanks...
