Adoption Update

"You will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:12-13).

YES! YES! YES!  We just came home from camping and looked through our mail and we were thrilled to receive our letter of no objection from the ministry of Ontario!  We were given a referral a few weeks back of a beautiful 2.5 year old precious little boy!  However, we had to wait for ministry approval because of his medical conditions.  The letter states, "The ministry has no objection to the transfer of the adopted child into the home of the applicants of Ontario".  YEAH!

This adoption process has already been a test of faith and trust.  We know that this will not be an easy road, but we are relying not on our strength, but completely on the strength of the LORD and we embrace this calling with excitement and complete trust in the LORD.

The next step is waiting for a court date in Ethiopia and travelling to Ethiopia for court.  We are praying for a miracle, because the courts close in August and September, but we are praying for a court date in July.  We have already seen God's work in this whole situation and we have seen so many answers to prayer, and we are giving this completely to the One who holds all things in His hands.  After court, we need to wait for his Canadian Visa, before we can bring him home.

Our hearts are longing for the day that we can bring little Seber Ahemed Abdukadir home to his forever home and give him the medical care that he needs and lavish him with love.

Happy 20th anniversary to us, as we received the letter of no objection on our anniversary (June 25)!
