"I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths of the grave"
(Psalm 86:12-13).
(Psalm 86:12-13).
He sways to the music. He smiles from ear to ear. He closes his eyes as he sings with all of his heart. I sit in church behind this man with a difficult past, and tears well up in my eyes. He has such a passion for the LORD and he exuberantly expresses his faith. Why can't I share that exuberance and passion? Why do I just coast along in my faith, marriage, life, etc?
He sways to the music as we sing...
Not what my hands have done can save my guilty soul;
not what my tiling flesh has borne can make my spirit whole.
Not what I feel or do can give me peace with God;
not all my prayers and sighs and tears can bear my awful load.
Your voice alone, O Lord, can speak to me of grace;
your power alone, O Son of God, can all my sin erase.
No other work but yours, no other blood will do;
no strength by that which is divine can bear me safely through.
I praise the Christ of God; I rest on love divine;
and with unfaltering lip and heart I call this Saviour mine.
My Lord has saved my life and freely pardon gives;
I love because he first loved me, I live because he lives.

Awesome photos from this crazy March of ours!! Who would have ever thought the kids could swim at this time of year? It will go down in history, I'm sure.
As for the singing man, I'm so thankful God gives us glimpses of people like this. It's Him speaking and urging us to love Him deeper and worship Him with our whole hearts. Thanks for sharing.
